This one was so much fun, well I had to try a self-cocking or Lever action and could not pass up this good deal, but this next one was not as good as described.

Well I received the 80lb self-cocking and I do not recommend this seller =
Description
ITEM SPECIFICS
Brand: JAGUAR
Model: JAG 80A4PL
ALUMINUM ALLOY CONSTRUCTION.
What I received was NOT as described.
No name anywhere on pistol or box, only made in Taiwan.
Model: 498-P
Plastic construction
It is the only self-cocking crossbow this seller has so it is not as simple as he sent the wrong item, and it has been a few days and have had no response from this seller and I have made two attempts at contact.
The string that came with this clone is for a 50LB: after stringing it I realized something was wrong so I compared it to my other 80lb. I then compared the string to another new 80lb string I had and it was shorter. I also compared it to one of my 50lb strings and it did matched. I am glad I had another Crossbow to compare it to otherwise I may have cocked it and had the prod snap right in my face.
The front & back site are plastic, the rear site is useless it has too much left and right play (a drop of super glue cured this) and the rear adjustment knob is drilled and taped off center, and cocked so up and down adjustment is difficult to useless. I think I could drill it out and super glue a nut on top to make it usable.
The safety would not unengage but it would still shoot, guess how I know.
I disassembled it and did some trimming on trigger and safety switch and also filed a notch on top so this safety switch so it would hold in both positions so now works but it had to be modified.
I did notice that the Prod seemed to be better made than my other 80LB as in the ends of the prod were more evenly notched for the nocks.
I just wanted to follow up so as no one makes the same mistake I did.
These have been relisted; I do not recommend this product or seller and this has just been my experience. This experience also leads me to say stay clear of the plastics unless you get a really good price and are very good at modifying, and can identify if you were given the correct string.
Now that I have it in a usable state the biggest down side is the very flimsy breakable sites. The self-cocking pistols have longer rails and pulls the string back farther making it more powerful than the manual cocking 80LB pistol.
