Florida Rules
I just discovered that the only requirement for crossbows to be used for hunting in the state of Florida is that it have at least a 30# draw weight!!! Yep. Only 30#. For any game species - birds, fish, small game, deer, gator, wild hog, you name it! That means even my small 50# pistolbow is legal for anything. Not that I'd hunt deer or gator or wild hog with only a 50# pistolbow; let's get serious. All that would do is piss off the target! But it does mean that pistolbow is legal for small game like squirrels, turkey, rabbits, armadillo, etc; plus fish like tilapia, catfish, carp and others others. Technically I could shoot a 6 ft Tarpon the next time one surfaces next to my boat!
